For The last 4 years multiple Genocide campaigns including the #tigraygenocide, #amharagenocide, & #oromogenocide have been committed in Ethiopia in the name of War and law enforcement. 900,000 Tigrayan lives have been Lost as a result of the Tigray Genocide. During the Tigray genocide Medieval Siege tactics are being used to inflict mass death through deliberate starvation and withholding medical care.
WHY CARRY A TABLE?
On Sunday October 30, 2022 Tsega ran the 47th Marine Corps Marathon, the entire 26.2 miles, while carrying the table in an attempt to set a Guinness world record for the "Fastest Marathon while carrying a Table" to send a peaceful message in protest of the Genocidal War in Tigray, Ethiopia.
The table is not an ordinary table, it's a peace table named "Dishta Gina" . A peace negotiation table to be specific.
Although Tsega Did not Meet the time goal to set the Guinness world Record, Tsega met his Goals of not resting the table at all during the marathon and finished the Marathon in 6 hours and 44 minutes while running with unexpected sports injury suffered during the marathon.
With additional training Tsega Made a second attempt to set the Guinness On January 7th 2023,
at the 9th Buckeye Marathon in Buckeye, Arizona. Tsega Was finally able to set the world record for the first marathon ever run while carrying a peace negotiation table at 3 hours 59 minutes and 40 seconds.
The record is dedicated to Tsega's 1st Cousin who was Mercilessly
Murdered by the Ethiopian Army as well as each and every life lost during the senseless genocidal war.
3 days after the marine corps marathon, the Ethiopian Government and The Tigray Regional Government signed a promising peace deal on the peace negotiation table to end the Tigray Genocidal War. Despite this peace deal the Tigray Genocide is still ongoing
The #combacktothetable movement intends to promote & Amplify the current international efforts to pressure the Stakeholders in the Ethiopian-Tigray Genocidal War to Respect & implement the terms of the Peace deal. We also intend promote negotiations on the peace table to end of other ongoing conflicts in Oromia region .

My 79 year old Uncle Hadush.
Since the start of the war in Nov 2020, Hadush has been unable to flee due to old age and was subject to Three Murder attempts, an attempt in nov 2020 and two current simultaneous Murder attempts.

Hadush's only Crime? Being a 79 year old Civilian farmer of Tigrayan ethnicity with no connection or knowledge related to the war.
First Murder Attempt (Dec 2020)

Hadush was brutally beaten down and left for dead by the mercenary soldiers of the Eritrean Dictator Isayas Afewerki. We were told he miraculously survived the violent physical attack.
Second Murder Attempt (Dec 2020-NOW)

For the last two years, along with his entire family & 7 million Tigrayans, he has been subjected to a literal second murder attempt through a deliberate mass starvation tactic employed by the Ethiopian Government.
Third Murder Attempt (Aug 2022-NOW)

The 3rd murder attempt came in a form of indiscriminate civilian bombings in his town near the border of Eritrea with artillery, rockets and sophisticated weapons supplied by the UAE,Iran and Turkish Governments.

At this time, we don't know If Hadush survived the current two simultaneous murder attempts through starvation and civilian bombings.
